This is why hook ups are difficult
Because I’m like, oh he’s nice
but what if he believes we live in a post-racial society?
All the this. :( This is why I hate dating and just want to meet enlightened cute queer people and lure them into my cuddle piles.

White text on a rainbow background: Number 321, being afraid that if you come out it will just be totally ignored
So much resonating :|
I came out to my mother as bisexual (because trying to explain non-binary genders was way too daunting a decision) and after laughing at me, she got over it.
We were folding laundry and I spotted my binder and was like “DISCLOSE ALL THE THINGS” and told her I was genderfluid (specifically an Ardhanarishvara). Which she got immediately (though she said “I always knew you were the weird one” :\ ).
A few days later, I was feeling super-dysphoric and drinking scotch and confided in her. And she helped me out in wearing clothes.
Aaaaand….then she forgot about it. All of it (except the “Eden has a girlfriend” part. Possibly because I’m living with the girl). Still calls me a girl, her daughter, feminine conjugations in Hindi, advising me on what to do to be more of a girl, etc.
I don’t think it’s ill will on her part…I think she just…forgot. And I really don’t want to come out again?
Fnaaar. Anyone have any ideas?

I love saris — especially ornate saris like this. I can’t walk in them for the life of me, but I love them so much.
